The Ahoy Centre provides watersports-based opportunities for diadvanteged children, at risk youth and disabled people.
To fund that they arrange rowing and racing challenges, apply for grant and raise money in other ways.
All of this takes a lot of administration/
Like many organisations, they grew bit by bit and administration relied on spreadsheets and email and coordinating all of these together.
Unsurprisingly, the centre became increasingly difficult and time-consuming to manage.
Xpdient worked with Ahoy and provided a single secure administrative system using Drupal and CiviCRM.
Now instead of an Exchange calendar, they have a directly editable online calendar that holds all their activities. Instead of using complex spreadsheets they now have a singe page to allocate staff and volunteers to each activity, and can print off a duty rota on the spot.
Instead of hundreds of separate fundraising pages held in Just Giving, they have consolidated fundraising pages in CiviCRM.
The system has enabled them to keep all their data in one place and be able to track and provide reports on all their activities. This means they are able to provide information quickly to funding bodies, mainkg them more able to provide services.
